Rules and Regulations
  1. The official registration must be completed by each prospective participant and be submitted through the official on-line registration website, with exception to the corporate race category registration. Registrations that are not officially endorsed will not be accepted.
  2. Official acceptance of the online registration will be made upon receipt of payment and all registrations will be on a first come, first served basis. All payments are to be made via NETS or accepted credit cards, as may be specified. No personal cheques shall be accepted.
  3. Completion of the online registration and payment of the registration fee represents acceptance of the rules and regulations of participation.
  4. Participants below 21 years of age need to seek parental or guardian consent before participating in the event.
  5. Each participant is only allowed to register for ONE (1) category; HomeTeamNS Individual or 100PLUS HomeTeamNS Team participants, on the other hand, may also qualify for the Individual Open category.
  6. There will be no registration on Race Day for New Balance REAL Run 2010.
  7. A registration fee of S$ 35.00 will be charged per participant.
  8. For corporate race category registration with a minimum of 50 pax and above, a discount privilege of S$ 3.00 off the registration fee per person shall apply.
  9. Online registration is available at www.realrun.sg. Participants shall bear a transaction fee of S$ 1.80 payable to HiVelocity Private Limited for every online registration, in addition to the registration fee payable.
  10. Police National Servicemen (PNSmen) and Civil Defence National Servicemen (CDNSmen) are to register through their respective division if they wish to take part in the HomeTeamNS Individual or Team category.
  11. The HomeTeamNS Individual or 100PLUS HomeTeamsNS Team category is restricted to Home Team NSmen only.
  12. The HomeTeamNS Corporate Race is restricted to employees of the company registered in the same name.
  13. All participants will receive a Confirmation Slip (soft copy through online registration) after payment is made.
  14. Once the online registration has been duly processed, there shall be no fee refund for those participants who eventually do not take part for whatever reason.
  15. Race category or race entry is not transferrable. Any request for change of category will be subjected to an administrative fee of S$ 10.00, before 13 September 2010.
  16. This race is limited to the first 10,000 participants to register.
  17. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse entries.
  18. All participants are required to collect their Race Pack which includes the Number Bib and Race Chip at the New Balance REAL Run 2010 - Prelude on 1, 2 and 3 October 2010 between 10am - 8pm, at the Velocity @ Novena Square, 238 Thomson Road Singapore 307683.
  19. All participants are required to produce their Confirmation Slips for the collection of the Race Pack which includes the Number Bib and Race Chip.
  20. For group collection of Race Packs, the representative is required to produce all Confirmation Slips of all the participants.
  21. Participants may exchange for the goodie bag using the tear-off portion of the race bib. No goodie bag collection shall be allowed after Race Day.
  22. Replacement for Number Bib and Race Chip can be done at HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok before 9 October 2010, 12.00pm, at S$ 5.00 and S$ 50.00 respectively.
  23. Participants can purchase Island-Wide shuttle bus coupons at S$ 3.00 each at the New Balance REAL Run 2010 Prelude on 1, 2 and 3 October 2010. Bus coupons will be sold at S$ 5.00 on event day and seats are subject to availability.
  24. Free shuttle bus services will be available at Pasir Ris Bus Interchange from 5.00am to 6.10am; 10.00am to 2.00pm and at Changi Exhibition Centre from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
  25. Size of T-shirt is subject to availability. No exchange will be entertained.
  26. Participants shall make themselves ready for their respective events ONE (1) hour before the time stated in the programme. The First Call will be made 45 minutes before the time stated in the programme. The Second Call will be made 30 minutes before the start of the race.
  27. It is the responsibility of participants to have themselves certified fit to participate in the event if they are unsure of their state of health. A participant must retire from the race immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical team.
  28. Failure to display the Number Bib and to wear the Race Chip shall result in disqualification and no refunds whatsoever shall be given.
  29. In accordance with the International Association of Athletic Federation (IAAF), the official recognised race time is based on Gun Time for all categories except the HomeTeamNS Team and HomeTeamNS Corporate Race category.
  30. Road closure will be lifted after 10am on the race day. Participants may continue on the footpath or park connectors at their own risk.
  31. Baggage deposit is available for rental fee of S$ 1.00 at the start/end point. Participants are advised not to leave any cash or valuables (including but not limited to mobile phones) at the baggage deposit counter as HomeTeamNS shall not be responsible or liable in the event of any loss.
  32. No pets or any form of wheel-run objects of transport e.g. in-line skates, prams, push chairs, shoes with rollers, etc are allowed on the whole course.
  33. In the event a runner wins more than one award in the individual race category, he will be elected to receive the prize for one category only, i.e. the category that offers the highest prize award. Notwithstanding the runner’s election, his finishing position in each of the relevant categories does not change, and the prize money for the category that offers the lower prize award will be retained by the Organizer.
  34. Participants must be present to claim their prizes at the time of the lucky draw, failing which the prize will be forfeited.
  35. In the event of an emergency arising from any incidents affecting the key installations in the vicinity of Changi Coast Road, the race will be cancelled without prior notice.
  36. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change the venue, date and time of the event. There will be no fee refund if the event is cancelled for whatsoever reason. HomeTeamNS and their officials shall not be held responsible for any claims arising out of any death or injury, damage or loss, suffered or caused while participating in the New Balance REAL Run 2010, and this includes all costs and expenses incurred as a result of such claims.
  37. The Organiser reserves the right to amend any of the rules and regulations without prior notice.
  38. The Organiser's decision shall be final. No correspondence will be entertained.
