Rules and Regulations
- The official registration must be completed by each prospective participant and be submitted through the official on-line registration website, with exception to the corporate race category registration. Registrations that are not officially endorsed will not be accepted.
- Official acceptance of the online registration will be made upon receipt of payment and all registrations will be on a first come, first served basis. All payments are to be made via NETS or accepted credit cards, as may be specified. No personal cheques shall be accepted.
- Completion of the online registration and payment of the registration fee represents acceptance of the rules and regulations of participation.
- Participants below 21 years of age need to seek parental or guardian consent and will be required to complete a consent form before participating in the event.
- Each participant is only allowed to register for ONE (1) category; HomeTeamNS Individual or 100PLUS HomeTeamNS Team. Team participants, on the other hand, may also qualify for the Individual Open and Junior categories.
- There will be no registration on Race Day for HomeTeamNS-New Balance REAL Run 2011.
- A registration fee of S$37.00 and S$47.00 per participant will be charged for the 10km and 21km categories respectively during the Normal registration period.
- For group registration (minimum of 25 pax and above), a discount privilege of S$3.00 off the registration fee per person shall apply.
- Online registration is available at www.realrun.sg. The transaction fee of S$1.80 payable to HiVelocity Private Limited for every on-line registration is inclusive in the registration fee.
- Police National Servicemen (PNSmen) and Civil Defence National Servicemen (CDNSmen) are to register through their respective division if they wish to take part in the HomeTeamNS Individual or Team category.
- The HomeTeamNS Individual or 100PLUS HomeTeamsNS Team category is restricted to Home Team NSmen only.
- The HomeTeamNS Corporate Race is restricted to only the employees of the company registered.
- All participants will receive a Confirmation Slip (soft copy through online registration) after payment is made.
- Once registration has been duly processed, there shall be no fee refund for those participants who eventually do not take part for whatever reason.
- Race category or race entry is not transferable. Any request for change of category will be subjected to an administrative fee of S$10.00, before 31 July 2011.
- This race is limited to the first 10,000 participants who register.
- The Organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse entries.
- All participants are required to collect their Race Packs which include the Number Bib and Race Chip at the New Balance REAL Run 2011 Prelude from 30 September – 2 October 2011 between 10am - 8pm, at Velocity @ Novena Square, 238 Thomson Road Singapore 307683.
- All participants are required to produce their Confirmation Slips for collection of their Race Packs.
- For group collection of Race Packs, the appointed representative is required to produce all Confirmation Slips of all the participants.
- Participants may exchange for the goodie bag using the tear-off portion of the race bib. No goodie bag collection shall be allowed after Race Day.
- Replacement for Number Bib and Race Chip can be done at HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok Clubhouse before 5 October 2011 12.00pm, at S$5.00 and S$50.00 respectively.
- Participants can purchase island wide shuttle bus coupons at S$3.00 each at the New Balance REAL Run 2011 Prelude from 30 September - 2 October 2011. Bus coupons will be sold at S$5.00 on event day and seats are subject to availability.
- Free shuttle bus services will be available from Pasir Ris Bus Interchange to Changi Exhibition Centre. Please check www.realrun.sg for more details.
- Size of T-shirt is subject to availability. The Organiser will not facilitate any exchanges.
- Participants shall make themselves ready for their respective events ONE (1) hour before the time stated in the programme. The First Call will be made 45 minutes before the start of the race. The Second Call will be made 30 minutes before the start of the race.
- It is the responsibility of participants to certify themselves medically fit for the event. A participant must retire from the race immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical team.
- Failure to display the Number Bib and to wear the Race Chip shall result in disqualification and no refunds shall be given.
- In accordance with the International Association of Athletic Federation, the officially-recognised race time is based on Gun Time for all categories except the HomeTeamNS Team and HomeTeamNS Corporate Race category.
- Road closure will be lifted after 9.30am on Race Day. Participants may continue on the footpath or park connectors at their own risk.
- Baggage deposit is available for a rental fee of S$1.00 at the start/end point. Participants are advised not to leave any cash or valuables (including but not limited to mobile phones) at the baggage deposit counter as HomeTeamNS shall not be held responsible or liable in the event of any loss.
- No pets or any form of wheel-run objects of transport e.g. in-line skates, prams, push chairs, shoes with rollers, etc, are allowed on the whole course.
- In the event a runner should win more than one award in the individual race category, he will be elected to receive the prize for one category only, i.e. the category that offers the highest prize award. Notwithstanding the runner’s election, his finishing position in each of the relevant categories does not change, and the prize money for the category that offers the lower prize award will be retained by the Organiser.
- Participants must be present to claim their prizes at the time of the lucky draw, failing which the prize will be forfeited.
- In the event of an emergency arising from any incidents affecting the key installations in the vicinity of Changi Coast Road, the race will be cancelled without prior notice.
- The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone or change the venue, date and time of the event. There will be no fee refund if the event is cancelled for whatsoever reasons. HomeTeamNS and their officials shall not be held responsible for any claims arising out of any death or injury, damage or loss, suffered or caused while participating in the HomeTeamNS-New Balance REAL Run 2011, and this includes all costs and expenses incurred as a result of such claims.
- The Organiser reserves the right to amend any of the rules and regulations without prior notice.
- The Organiser's decisions are final. No correspondence will be entertained.
